The new operating theatre and birthing suite are vital in helping to restart maternity services, which have been on bypass for more than 1,000 days.
The hospital redevelopment will also deliver six new staff accommodation units to help attract and retain frontline healthcare workers to the Biloela region.
The modern three-bedroom units will feature an undercover car park, ramp accessibility, internet access, kitchenette and laundry.
