  • Making additional CT services for referred patients available in Charleville.

  • Delivering more than 2,600 extra beds across the state including 3 new hospitals and 10 hospital expansions and more regional health services as part of the Hospital Rescue Plan.

  • Investing to stabilise bed capacity to improve patient flow across the state, with 515 beds across the Queensland Health system.

  • Delivering the legislated but previously unfunded midwife to patient ratios across the state.

  • Delivering more frontline health workers for South West Queensland, with additional funding in 2025–26 to grow the workforce to 885 (FTE) across South West Hospital and Health Service.

  • Delivering the government’s new Open Hospitals website to share data in real-time and drive cultural change across the state.

  • Delivering health services when you need them with more paramedics and initiatives to reduce ambulance ramping below 30 per cent by 2028.

  • Delivering more elective surgeries across Queensland by partnering with the private sector through the Surgery Connect Program to reduce waitlists and ensure patients are seen sooner.

DELIVERING a better lifestyle through a stronger economy

  • Developing shire-wide aerodrome master plans for St George Airport, assessing condition, future use, needs, and a prioritised works program, as part of the Works for Queensland Program.

  • Assisting Murweh Shire Council to engage a consultant to develop a master plan for Charleville Airport, addressing runway defects and future demand, as part of the Works for Queensland Program.

  • Supporting Quilpie Shire Council to upgrade Bob Young Memorial Park with stone paving around the memorial and landscaping improvements across the site, as part of the permanent Works for Queensland Program.

  • Growing ethical and sustainable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts industries through support for Indigenous art centres, including in South West Queensland.

  • Constructing upgrades at the Cunnamulla Swimming Pool in line with the master plan to enhance community recreation facilities, as part of the permanent Works for Queensland Program.

  • Delivering housing and homelessness services to vulnerable Queenslanders to assist them secure long-term housing and access other specialist support services through funding and partnerships with Specialist Homelessness Services.

  • Delivering housing for frontline government employees like teachers, nurses and police officers so they can provide essential services to communities in South WestQueensland. In 2025-26, 14 homes are planned across Roma and Charleville.

  • Constructing affordable housing units across 2 consolidated council-owned sites in Roma, maintaining the original housing outcomes more efficiently. Part of the permanent Works for Queensland Program.

  • Expanding and improving social and community housing within the South West Queensland region, working towards the delivery of 53,500 social and community homes by 2044.

  • Installing telemetry devices in the Murray Darling Basin to improve data collection, monitoring, and water management efficiency, delivered in partnership with the Australian Government.

  • Developing a master plan for Nindigully to enhance tourism, improve liveability, and support town beautification initiatives, as part of the permanent Works for Queensland Program.

  • Designing and upgrading the Wyandra playground with landscaping, refurbishment of equipment, and installation of new playground facilities, as part of the permanent Works for Queensland Program.

  • Delivering floodway upgrades for the Castlereagh Highway from Dirranbandi to Hebel Road to improve safety and flood immunity.

  • Upgrading The Gums T-intersection by delivering a business case where the Surat Development road and the Leichhardt Highway intersect.

  • Replacing the Eulo Bridge, by completing a business case for a new Paroo River bridge at Eulo.

  • Completing a business case to raise the approaches to Loudon Bridge.

  • Putting the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games back on track with a plan to deliver what’s needed for Queensland’s future, with transport and infrastructure, tourism and grassroots sporting facilities across the state.

  • Managing and mitigating significant public safety, health, and environmental risks at high-risk abandoned mine sites, including in South West Queensland.

  • Supporting Destination 2045: Delivering Queensland’s Tourism Future, including funding for aviation attraction, event attraction, and new product development across the state.

  • Delivering the First 5 Forever family literacy initiative in South West Queensland.

  • Upgrading multi-purpose courts at Mitchell State School to provide students with active recreational spaces.

  • Boosting the resilience of regional communities to extreme weather events through the Queensland Microgrid Pilot Fund, including in South West Queensland.

  • Improving access across the site for students, parents, carers, and staff at Quilpie State College.

  • Delivering funding to redevelop the Denise Spencer Aquatic Centre in Roma.

  • Refurbishing Block J at Roma State College senior campus.
